About Dental Implants

Seeing a dentist about unsalvageable teeth is essential to the overall health and look of your mouth. To help Seattle, WA patients restore functionality after losing a tooth, Dr. Hal Kussick proudly offers dental implants for tooth replacement. A fixed implant utilizes a sturdy screw that serves as an artificial tooth root, and a unique dental crown, bridge, or denture fills in for the lost tooth (or teeth). If you have a missing tooth or need an extraction, please schedule an evaluation at [email protected] and learn about your fixed implant possibilities.

What to expect with dental implants

The technique for dental implants includes the precise positioning of the screw and securing a natural-looking restoration (including full-arch dentures, crowns, and bridges). Once we have prepared your mouth for treatment, you'll receive oral anesthesia to ensure optimal comfort. We may also use oral-conscious or IV techniques to reduce dental anxieties. The titanium implant will be surgically set within the jawbone at a particular location and given a period of time to fuse with the tissue through a process called osseointegration. When the treatment site has healed (commonly at least six months afterward), Dr. Kussick will position a custom-fixed denture, crown, or full-arch piece and analyze the jaw's alignment. We will provide detailed aftercare instructions to ensure the treatment area heals correctly.
